"A microbiologist by training, I began my career as a research engineer in the Biotechnology and Cell Signalling Laboratory after studying at the University of Strasbourg (IUT Louis Pasteur and then the Faculty of Life Sciences). I then decided to try my hand at the great adventure of a PhD in the same laboratory, working on a pathogenic bacterium, its infection in people with cystic fibrosis and its relationship with iron. Following this, and charmed by teaching, I was given the opportunity to teach a Biology Engineering degree at the IUT Louis Pasteur, where I taught various subjects related in one way or another to molecular biology. I've now moved on to another facet of university education as head of EUR IMCBio."
