Marie-Christine Birling, winner of the CNRS Crystal Medal 2023

Marie-Christine Birling, Chief Engineer of the Genetic Engineering and Genome Editing Department of the ICS, INRT Research Cluster, is the winner of one of the 2023 Crystal Medals awarded by the CNRS.

This good news was announced by the CNRS on Thursday 4 May. In recognition of a career marked by great successes, this medal particularly rewards Marie-Christine Birling's contribution to the adaptation of CRISPR/Cas9 technology to genome editing and the production of animal models.
