L'appel à candidature pour le poste de diretrice/directeur de l'IGBMC est lancé ! L'Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire est à la recherche d'une personne pour prendre la succession de l'actuel directeur et continuer à valoriser l'excellence de ses recherches ainsi qu'à le rendre visible sur la scène internationale.

The IGBMC is a leading research center that drives projects in fundamental biology and biomedicine. It is internationally recognized for its contributions to the fields of eukaryotic gene expression, cell fate and development, for structural analyses of factors involved in these processes, and for the identification of genes involved in human genetic diseases. Currently, it is composed of 44 teams organized in four scientific departments, state-of-the-art core facilities, and support services. IGBMC is the recipient of the French Initiative of Excellence programs and is hosting nodes of several national and European infrastructures. IGBMC is affiliated with Inserm, CNRS and the Université de Strasbourg. It is located on the “Campus d’innovation”, south of Strasbourg, within an ecosystem of biotech companies, some of which are spin-offs of the Institute.


The Director will have to develop an ambitious strategic vision for the institute, fostering scientific excellence and enhancing international visibility. She/he should have demonstrated leadership and management skills and ability to engage productively with a diverse group of individuals at all levels. Experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders is required, as well as excellent communication skills.


The language of the Institute is English but working knowledge of French would be desirable.
